My Story

Hello thank you for checking out my page. For those of you that don’t know me let me tell you a bit about myself.

I ran my first London Marathon when I was 19. I didn't run my next till 16 years later. Once I had completed this I said “that’s it, never again!!”

8 years later I decided I needed a challenge and an incentive to get myself fit so I applied to run it again and successfully gained a place through the ballot

I enjoyed the experience so much that I ran 2  Brighton Marathons and continued to apply to run a fourth London. Sadly, for a number of years I was unsuccessful in securing my own place.

I won’t lie, it was very disheartening, but at the beginning of October 2019, after listening to Jamie Theakston’s bike ride efforts on Heart radio one morning I was so inspired by what he was doing, and the fact that the money he was raising was going to help fund and empower projects, for disadvantaged children, young people and their families, that I searched to see if Global’s Make Some Noise had any bonded charity places. They did, so I sent them an email asking if I could run for them.

Much to my delight and surprise they came back and offered me a place.

I then had the challenge of getting myself fit and ready to run 26.2 miles around the streets of London in April 2020's Marathon. Training was going well and then BANG a pandemic struck the world and the Marathon was postponed and then cancelled.

Fingers crossed I will run my 4th London marathon on October 3rd

Therefore over the next few months I will be pounding the streets again to get myself ready.

Can I ask you to dig deep and sponsor me to help raise money so charities can bring to life to new projects that are desperately needed in the communities, and help others to continue running and offer their services throughout the UK.

In short, help me raise money, to help raise awareness and raise the bar.
