We are a mature couple who call ourselves The Also Ran's.

We are raising money to support Classic FM's charity, Global's Make Some Noise, to help fund their projects which help disadvantaged and disabled children.

This is very important to us, having grown up in the late 1930s and '40s and being part of large families, we are fully aware of the difficulties and lack of opportunity that existed then and persists to the present day.

We will be very grateful because apart from the important aspect of raising cash for a worthy cause, this event has given us the incentive to double our regular walk from once a day to twice a day, something we kept meaning to do but never got round to it until now.
